Uncle Ofay's Good-Times Story Corner :: Ansshotus. [Part 1 of 2.]
Pixel love, monetization, stretch.
DJs: Lin Swimmer and D. J. O. E.
Air date: 11/11/09
Or NYU Game Center Lecture of November 5th;
featuring Dessgeega, Messhof, and Cactus.
Holy shit! Epic failure. I erroneously assumed the the Game Center People would take weeks if not months to edit and upload the presentation from the Indie Games Panel, and that I would make up for low sound quality by just beating everyone out of the gate. (The Sega strategy.) But dammit; those geeks are fast.

Making this show totally redundant, and rather ill-conceived. Oh well. As a technical test, it let me know how the recorder handles in that situation. Relatively poorly, but definitely usable, and tweak-able on the mixer.
But in terms of a "games journalism" approach (I'm calling myself that now?), it would have made more sense to do a brief summary, and offer my thoughts, impressions, reflections, and questions! Maybe I'll squash the audience Q&A from part 2, and just do the questions, and proceed onward with the show. Or maybe I'll just type up the questions, and post them on the assorted designer's blogs. That probably makes the most sense, in terms of actual convenience for said designers.
Anyway, you can listen for our somewhat horrid mic breaks, and these three killer tracks.
"Monster Rapping" by Laylaw
Ice Cube Freestyle (although I view this as unlikely, as far as a spontaneous rhyme.)
"Spit It Out" by the Eastside Badstads.
